In honor of the unofficial stoners holiday 420, Lions and Hert painted a production incorporating Betty Boop smoking a joint with weed leafs and smoke in the background. The wall was painted at community 54 in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

The opening reception of Still Here Now goes down tonight at Panda Gallery in New York. A benefit for the incarcerated graffiti writer Hert, the group show features the work of 22 artists working in a variety of different mediums. Get down to Chinatown, sure to be a fun night with a good cause.

We posted some Hert photos last week and then found this video we wanted to share with you. As we stated in the previous post, “Hert was sentenced to prison in 2010 at SCI Pittsburgh with “real criminals.” He is still incarcerated and we thought it would be appropriate after the Revok post. Any graffiti writer knows that with the fun, comes the consequences. Judicial systems have their priorities and need to set examples. Once in a while, they can go over board and incarcerate writers with sentences that don’t seem rational. Hert was sentenced to prison in 2010 at SCI Pittsburgh with “real criminals.”
