We have our Mexico City colleagues on the scene at the huge Public Art festival, All City Canvas, where an all-world roster of artists (Roa, Escif, Saner, Herakut, Vhils, Interesni Kazki, El Mac, Aryz, and Sego) are painting huge walls around the Mexican capital. After the first few days, some massively good works are being produced. Check out some of the progress shots we were able to capture.

We saw the German duo, Herakut, prepare their installation room at Nuart 2011, and they created a completely unique universe that had both flat and 3D elements that really created a profound experience. Tonight, April 21 in San Francisco's 941 Geary space, Herakut will be opening a new exhibition, Loving the Exiled. Here is a preview. . .

German duo Herakut are in San Francisco at the moment putting the touches together on a big installation exhibition at 941 Geary. Of their Loving the Exiled show, Herakut notes they "will be bringing characters that have fallen from grace." We have a few installation and process shot after the jump . . .

The train tracks entering Mannheim, Germany have been upgrade with a lengthy mural titled “Brothers helping Sisters helping…” by the German-based duo, Herakut. The couple were commissioned by the city to create the mural and the final product stands strong.

Accompanied with a new book, a large installation, and a wide range of multi-media work, Herakut’s show at Le Basse Projects showcases the diverse talent of this German duo. Nicely titled “After the Laughter” this show runs from Feb 25 - March 17. Go check it out if you’re in or around Los Angeles.

Herakut, who just held a full performance art piece with Lucent Dossier in downtown Los Angeles last weekend, is opening a new solo exhibition, After the Laughter, at LeBasse Projects Chinatown in Los Angeles on Saturday, February 25. Our good friends, the German art duo of Herakut, will be collaborating with the performers from Lucent Dossier in The Lucent Dossier Experience – When Lucent Found Herakut, this Friday and Saturday (Feburary 17 and 18) at the downtown Los Angeles space, the Palace Theater. We got a few preview images of what Herakut and Lucent Dossier will have in store this week. The Lucent Dossier will be bringing Herakut's workto life in a live performance art piece.

We stopped by LeBasse Projects in Culver City to check out their current group exhibition which showcases artwork form some of their artists that will be exhibiting this year, including works from Herakut, Mike Stilkey, Joshua Petker, Seonna Hong, Jim Houser, Tobias Keene, Katrin Fridriks, Nate Frizzell, Yoskay Yamamoto, Andrew Hem, Matt Haber and Melissa Haslam. The HALLENKUNST pop-up exhibit in Chemnitz, Germany, wrapped up last month, designed to spotlight the mid-European's urban art movement within the ever-growing international public art scene. The 5,000 sqm spaces were special areas within which artists created site-specific art installations and a unique opportunity for visitors to experience varied and large format examples of urban art from Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, the Czech Republic, and France.
