Longtime supporter of the art, agnès b, opened a new boutique in Manhattan at 50 Howard Street, featuring a gallery that is currently housing works by Rostarr, Young Kim, Ryan McGinness, Harmony Korine, Ryan McGinley, José Parla, BÄST, David Ellis, Louise Bourgeois and Jonas Mekas. Aaron Rose, the man behind the fascinating documentary film Beautiful Losers, has been enjoying the immensely positive response from its recent release. In case you didn’t know, Rose was the man behind the Alleged Gallery in New York, which helped blossom the talents of great artists like: Mike Mills, Margaret Kilgallen, Thomas Campbell, Harmony Korine, Shepard Fairey, Ed Templeton, Barry McGee and more. Simply put, this guy knows his stuff. Beautiful Losers takes an inside look at the unique collective of artists who influenced one another at the Alleged Gallery, exploring their different outlooks and philosophies about creativity.
