Very much evoking the structural framework of Alexander Calder's mobiles, Hanna Sandin creates similar sculptural works that use everyday objects, albeit often fragmented and not initially recognizable, in these hanging arrangements. Blades of ceiling fans, palm fronds, mop heads, and many other common objects float together acting as abstract forms similar to Calder's colorful shapes.
