Get ready for Hallo-Wolfbat at House of Vans! Vans' annual Halloween-themed party brings Dennis Mcnett and special guest collaborators together to transform the expansive House of Vans event space into an enthralling psychedelic arena. With help from The New School of Visual Arts, New York University and Parsons, the venue will embody a world of fantasy and spectacle, brought to life by ethereal visual art concepts, exploits from mythological creatures and wild musical performances.

October is here and if you're a fan of halloween, it's time to lose your mind over artist Andy Alexander's spooky, sculptural wreaths. "Unique, campy and funny" is how the artist describes these creations, which are likely loved all year round by people who wear black nail polish. The Grim Wreather, as Alexander's skeleton friends call him, studied sculpture at UCLA and also makes drawings and prints.

Just in time for Halloween, Flying Lotus has released a video for "Ready Err Not" from the album "Your Dead." Originally published October 31st, 2013: Perhaps it's just the old, faded photos but it seems to us from looking at these vintage photographs that Halloween costumes used to be much much creepier and weirder than it is now.

Baer painted a very special “Trip or Treat” themed piece on a kids billboard in celebration of this Halloween. It appears that the mummy and Dracula are getting extra weird and hogging all the party favors (Those are grown up candies BTW). This is officially NSFP aka not safe for parents.

Ben Newman floundered around in the dross pits of earth for several millennia before finally gluing his brain blocks together, then gettin' up and goin' home. Since then he's been honing his contemporary fusion of bold shapes, bright colours and playful characters into something resembling a career. He has produced work for clients including the Tate, IBM, BBC Radio 4, Fantagraphics, Absolut Vodka and Nobrow Press.

Everyone knows it just wouldn't be Halloween without the seductive side of spook, so Church of Halloween went ahead and put together this collection of some provocative pin-ups from a few of our favorite contemporary artists... like this little temptress from Matt Dixon.
