Wes Lang "Blessings" @ HALF Gallery, NYC

Juxtapoz // Thursday, October 31, 2013
Wes Lang is always putting together some bodies of work, the type of paintings that the bad biker guys in Pee Wee Herman's Big Adventure would love. This Fall, Lang will return to HALF Gallery with Blessings, a new body of work that will again look at the history of tattoo flash, imagery from the Old West, and even a little old school pornography. For the kids. We gathered a collection of Lang's work from the past year for you to check out... but go see it in person after November 7th.

Wes Lang "Here Comes Sunshine" @ Half Gallery, NYC

Tattoo // Wednesday, May 09, 2012
One of our favorite NYC-based artists, Wes Lang, is set to open a new solo show, Here Comes Sunshine, at the Lower East Side's Half Gallery this May 17, 2012. We follow Lang's blog closely, and he is good about updating it with oldies and newbies, and we recommend spending some time looking at his Americana meets tattoo meets stream of consciousness. And it is always good.

One real Condo show at New Museum in NYC, one fake Condo show at Half Gallery in NYC. Opening tomorrow night (January 22), Eneas Capalbo celebrates the 10th Anniversary of his "Fake Condos" series, a series that Half calls " more than anything, these fake Condo paintings are a call to complicity; an open rejection of the dictatorial nature creation demands. They're funny, too." More after the jump . . .
