Gris1’s recently opened his newest solo show “Game” at Galerie At down in Montpellier, France. The artist created several unique installations for this show including an all white miniature train station and city with a huge zipper running through it. Lots of interesting paintings and installation work can be seen here in these photos. The show runs through February 1, 2014.

Clever concept and execution by Gris1 in Montpellier, France. Additional candy colored designs for a broader mass appeal.

There’s a tube of paint making its own contribution to the “G” in this new Gris piece. There also appears to be candy canes and strange unidentifiable objects coming out of the ground. Real good.

Both of these two new walls by Gris1 are some of his best work we have seen him do yet. Each one completely different from the other, both very entertaining to stare at.

Every Friday we feature someone old or new, traditional or unconventional, active or not, and so on. This week’s spotlight is on Gris1's most recent installation and work from the "Public Provocation" exhibition at Colab Gallery in Switzerland.

One of our European contributors, Butterfly, recently heading out to the studio of graffiti artist Gris1 in Lyon, France to see what the artist have prepared for the rest of his 2013 calendar year. From the looks of it, he has lots of trains, spraycans, post-its, paintings, sketches, and notes coming into fruition. We have covered Gris1 a ton on our site and in our Graffiti Department in recent years, as well as a bunch of French writers, and we were very appreciative that Gris let us into his space.
