We are excited about the new Grimes album. Not only did she create the artwork for her new LP, Art Angels, but the video for "Flesh Without Blood" was written, directed, edited, colored, and art-directed by her. Her brother, Mac Boucher, was the cinematographer and creative consultant. Keep it in the family. There are a ton of costume changes, different looks, a basketball court, a tennis court, angel wings, and a slow breakdown that is "Life in the Vivid Dream."

We were gearing for a new Grimes LP, and she seems to have scrapped the album. But luckily for the Internet, and ways by which artists can release their albums and songs, Grimes went ahead and released the track "REALiTi" and the video she shot with her brother, Mac. She shot the video when on the Asia-leg of her tour, in Singapore, KL, Manila, Jakarta, HK, Shanghai, Beijing, Taipei, Seoul, Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo. And the song is good, too.

Grimes looks to be getting ready to release a new album, and after her 2012 critically acclaimed LP "Visions," we are going to call the new LP something that is generating quite a bit of excitement. For our purposes, we know Grimes likes to draw, does her own album covers, and has art-directed some of her videos. Grimes and her brother just directed a video for her new track, "Go," and its like living in the desert in the year 4000AD with slip-on adidas sandals. And the song is really good, too.

After our partnership with Outside Lands over the summer Juxtapoz was lucky enough to be invited to partner with Treasure Island Music Festival. After a light breakfast we headed to Civic Center to take the free shuttle, yes free, out to the island, a quick 10 - 15 minute ride across the Bay Bridge to enter the festival and see the likes of Public Enemy, The xx, Grimes, Ty Segall, Matthew Dear, Youth Lagoon, M83, and others.

Grimes is just one of the musical acts we are looking forward to seeing at this year's Treasure Island Music Festival in SF from October 13—14, 2012. Seeing that we are partners with the great institution that is Noise Pop, we can't wait to get a glimpse of The xx and Public Enemy celebrating their 25th anniversary...

Incredible new work from the infinitely talented Kristina Collantes- adding a new level and dimension to her already impressive portfolio and roster of clients. Born in Cabiao Nueva Ecija, Philippines in 1987, Kristina currently lives and works in southern California. I'm loving the new portrait of Grimes with her gorgeous palette and intricacy.

"When he was eight years old, now-prolific tattoo artist Grime had a horrifying accident — he was caught in a flurry of flames that engulfed his arms, legs, chest, and face. Visiting San Francisco's Skull and Sword, the heads atVice went behind the scenes for the second video in the new series Tattoo Age to delve into the mythology of Grime's work and the shop culture over at Skull and Sword. This is episode one of three".
