The end of year brings us to our closing issue of 2012, and who better than London-based Conor Harrington to grace the cover for a second time (scoring at home, October 2008 was his first cover). We lean heavily on painters and fine artists this issue with pieces on Nicola Verlato, Futura, Julie Heffernan, Marco Mazzoni, Grady Gordon, and Gregory Euclide, plus conversations with Jen Stark, Bob Dob, and a photo essay from the heart of Johannesburg.

We have long been fans of Gregory Euclide, from his paintings, sculptures, installations, and cover artwork for Bon Iver. It is his newest project, and subsequent print series, that may be his most impressive. Along with his gallery, David B Smith, Euclide recently created a series temporary paintings made with Sumi ink on dry erase board, and now they are being released in a print series.

Gregory Euclide for Bon Iver Print Release

David B. Smith Gallery and Gregory Euclide have teamed up to release Euclide's album cover work for Bon Iver as a limited-edition print, with 50% of net proceeds donated to Agapé Riding Center and the Greater Mankato Area United Way Connecting Kids Program, two non-profit organizations based in South Central Minnesota.
