Sandra Rendgen has observed and catalogued the phenomenon that can be seen in and around various media hubs ranging from Tumblr to the New York Times. Rendgen's Information Graphics delves into the importance of the image as a function of communication spanning from the early days of humanity when the first cave paintings were made to today's more contemporary visual information maps that can illustrate something like the many types of beer.

A small contingent of Juxtapoz staff was in London this past weekend, taking in some of the sights and art sounds that the metropolis had to offer, and one of the highlights was the Pick Me Up Graphic Art Fair at Somerset House, featuring a series of artists, printmakers, DIYers, and shop booths all under the umbrella of graphic art.

These are great, and clever minimalist typography posters by Swedish designer and artist, Patrik Svensson. All his work is based on popular movies and television shows. Like above, Jaws. Just wait and see what he does with Lost.

There is a major difference, or no difference at all, between Paris and New York City. According to artist Vahram Muratyan, the cities can be analyzed through a series of illustrations and graphic layouts, some funny, witty, and just plain excellent.
