REVOK & JIM DARLING Church Installation

Revok who is currently featured in our most recent May print issue and artist Jim Darling recently collaborated on this discarded junk installation in an abandon church in Detroit.  Working on the piece for two days, the artists dragged an organ up two flights of stairs along with any other objects left in the vicinity they could use.  It’s great seeing Revok work in mediums outside of graffiti with success!

Goorin Brothers rolls out a new collection today, April 26, 2012, by Victor Reyes, titled the XO collection. A two-part party will begin at Goorin's Haight Street store near Ashbury from 5pm to 8pm, then move over to their Cassel Gallery for a special opening to feature Reyes' new "Hold On Tightly" works from 8:30pm to 11pm.

Barry McGee has become a name that any art novice or expert has come to know and respect. Any event or art exhibition tied to McGee's name is guaranteed to have art world's ears will perk up. This was absolutely the case for the show that was recently organized right here in San Francisco, titled Contemporary Arts Centre. McGee uses a very specific word to describe the exhibition and opening reception, simply a "happening."
