“Death Dealer” by Baer

Graffiti // Tuesday, June 26, 2012
To no surprise, Bear’s newest mural is packed full demons, zombies, aliens, drugs, druggies, and money, all reoccurring themes with the artist.  There is a bubble letter that says “quick fix” and that’s how we feel about this piece, never enough we need more Baer!

Graffiti // Tuesday, June 26, 2012
This Score piece is missing some lines and blending all together, and that’s a successful recipe for this particular serving.

Video: Concrete Wall Project Presents Sawe

Graffiti // Friday, June 22, 2012
Herokid’s refreshingly creative new video in their ongoing series Concrete Walls Project highlights the Catalan graffiti writer, Sawe.  The artist’s playful illustrations are animated over the video, including a desaturated/yellow overall look and fitting soundtrack.  Graffiti videos tend to be plagued with cliché hip hop soundtracks and poor editing, leaving us to ponder why more are not being made at the following quality level.  The bar has been raised.

Chaos

Graffiti // Friday, June 22, 2012
Chaos is keeping real busy.  The walls of Detroit are being saturated with this guy’s handy work and whose graffiti would one rather see than his.

New Hbak Trains

Graffiti // Friday, June 22, 2012
Hbak’s trains remind us of a children’s coloring book gone completely wrong, with not so subtle drug references. Packed full of stars, doodles, and drips that are purposely overused.
