What a mess...

Graffiti // Wednesday, September 12, 2012
It takes a particular pair of eyes to see the beauty in this messy mash up of tags.  Likely to offend 99.9% of the local residents.

SPECIAL DELIVERY Bay Area 2012

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, September 12, 2012
Thousands turned out this past weekend to catch the Endless Canvas graffiti warehouse opening, Special Delivery Bay Area 2012, in Berkeley, California. The show was a follow up to last year's show of the same name in Portland, Oregon, and despite minimal coverage by any local press outlets (minus the morning news sighting graffiti "tags" spread around the neighborhood, something the building owner already said they would pay to clean up), the show turned out to be one of the most exciting art events in the East Bay in recent years.

Sonic

Graffiti // Wednesday, September 12, 2012
There something about this Sonic piece that is welcoming, non-threatening, and optimistic. Probably the colors, most likely that star.

Graffiti // Tuesday, September 11, 2012
Great classic photograph of Grey on an abandoned Muni car at the old Ghost Yards in San Francisco.

Dr. Jenkenstein

Graffiti // Tuesday, September 11, 2012
Anything Jenks does gets us pumped. This guy is in a league of his own and you have probably been sleeping on him.

Ces

Graffiti // Tuesday, September 11, 2012
When thinking of classic New York graffiti writers, the name Ces will more often than not come up.  A definitive style and still getting work done on the walls.

Seyce and Curve Hands

Graffiti // Tuesday, September 11, 2012
Some day, these will be ancient writings that scientists and archeologists will be studying.  They will learn from their research that an entirely different signature developed from The City of Brotherly Love, completely unique to its geographical location.

Gruss Vom Baerism

Graffiti // Monday, September 10, 2012
By now we have noticed that Baer is capable of numerous styles in varying degrees. Each new piece becomes a new favorite. “Gruss Vom Baerism” is a play off Gruss Von Krampus, a mythical creature who accompanies St Nicholas during the Christmas holidays. He is the punisher of bad children, eating naughty kids for Christmas Dinner!
