Hense paints exterior of Atlanta Contemporary Art Center

Bold, big and dripping in chrome. One of the exterior walls of the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center now loudly displays the letters of local graffiti writer, Hense’s name backwards. Atlanta has had a number of issues regarding public murals and what’s deemed appropriate in the last year, so it’s nice to see a contemporary institution support the work of a graffiti writer.

There are plenty of new innovating ways to create things and with technology brings a plethora of new possibilities. Watch as Zoer and Dems put that statement to the test with graffiti. Very clever.

Lush has been illustrating various characters surrounding the graffiti and street art culture, making humorous diagrams of each persona. This drawing is titled “Railfan graffiti photographer” and is one of the more accurate depictions we have seen him create. There are subtle and very obvious jabs in each of these drawings, but more often than not, there is a real truth behind them.
