Juxtapoz is proud to announce the newest addition to our ongoing book series with Gingko Press, "Juxtapoz Psychedelic." The book serves as both a story of our magazine's origins and current state, with Psychedelic Art once again emerging as a fascinating and endlessly experimental genre. From classic names such as Alex Grey and Keiichi Tanaami to a new generation of universe expanders in Killian Eng and cover artist Andy Gillmore, Juxtapoz Psychedelic is one for the visionaries.

Alex, take it from the top: "Due to popular demand and ridiculous prices on Ebay for the first printing, Zerofriends, Upper Playground & Gingko Press teamed up again to re-release it to you wonderful souls. I'm sorry to inform you though, that it's NOT in 3-D, unlike everything else that gets rereleased. But... it DOES have an all new cover and a new surprise twist ending!"

Tiffany Bozic, cover of our January 2011 issue, just had a monograph released through Gingko Press, Drawn By Instinct. We were lucky enough to get a copy of it here in the office, and with 192 pages of Bozic's beautiful animal and sea life paintings, this is one of our favorite books of the year. On Tuesday September 4th at 6:00pm, Bozic will be giving a lecture and book signing at the San Francisco Public Library, in conjunction with the Cal Academy of Sciences (Bozic was the artist-in-residence there a few years back).

Thomas Campbell, cover of our April 2007 issue, is set to release a new book through Gingko Press and Um Yeah Press, From Ummmm to Der. The book catalogs the many different facets of the Santa Cruz County-based artist, including installation, painting, sculpture, music, video, printmaking, and photography. And the cover is yellow, which is really quite nice.

Our good friend and killer artist, Sacramento-based Skinner, just released a new book through Gingko Press and Zerofriends, Every Man Is My Enemy. Besides the great collection of works in the book, there is an incredible quote from Skinner's high school art teacher, Larry Alberts: "Skinner is a psychopathic psycho, that's the worst kind you know...". That is a compliment.

As things with Banksy go, there is a little bit of legend and myth involved with almost every piece of art and story you hear. Therefore, it makes sense that there is a new book out (published by Carpet Bombing Culture) called Banksy Myth & Legends that dissects and examines the various unsolved mysterious surrounding the UK-artist.
