M-City, Gerry Judah & More @ Burn Yard Live in Budapest, Hungary

This past week we were in Budapest, Hungary for Burn Yard Live, an event that featured collaborations between thirteen street artists from across the globe, along with a unique skate ramp/sculpture designed by Gerry Judah and pro-skater Rune Glifberg. Led by Polish artist M-City, the interior space of a former industrial building was transformed into a collection of murals, grafitti an digital projections, serving as a colorful backdrop for Gerry Judah's skate sculpture and a live celebration that featured Avicii, other DJs, Rune Glifberg and F1 drivers. Gerry Judah "Porsche Display" @ Goodwood Festival of Speed 2013

How to you honor a going-on venerable and luxury car maker like Porsche at a major car festival in England? Well, Gerry Judah was tasked with creating a monument to the 50th birthday of the 911, and what we came up with was a massive, powerful, defying sculpture that featured 3 911s sprung high above the ground. As Judah noted, "I wanted to show design in a perfect moment." Think he got it.

Each year Gerry Judah creates a masssive sculpture in tribute of an iconic car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in Sussex, UK. This year Judah erected a 35 meter high, 22 ton sculpture of three of the most iconic models of the Porsche 911: 1963 Original, 1973 Carrera and the 2013 Carrera 4.

Gerry Judah is no stranger to creating massive sculptures for iconic cars, it is just that his latest, a 28m tall Jaguar E-Type, is of one of the most famed cars ever released. Impressive stat: the piece was constructed with over half a kilometer of steel tubing. The sculpture was in Sussex, England last weekend.
