New Prints Editions from V1 Gallery, Copenhagen

In conjunction with V1 Gallery's 10 year anniversary show, Tonight We Won't Be Bored, the Copenhagen-based gallery just released a series of editions that include Todd James, Richard Colman, Anika Lori, Andrè Saraiva (Mr A), Geoff McFetridge, and HuskMItNavn (Remember My Name). To us, V1 has one of the best programs of any of the galleries we cover, and we want to say congrats on 10 years of showing great artists, and here's to 10 more!

Geoff McFetridge is an artist based in Los Angeles California. Born in Canada, he was schooled at the Alberta College of Art and the Graduate Design Program at the California Institute of the Arts. Known for his reductive graphic style, Geoff began to show his work in galleries in 1998 at George’s Gallery. His first large scale show was in Japan at Parco Gallery Tokyo.

No question, we lost a legend last week with the passing of Maurice Sendak, and the New York Times published a portfolio this past weekend titled "Thanks, Maurice," inviting artists to re-imagine and create tributes to the author of Where The Wild Things Are. Yesterday morning, fresh off a red-eye from San Francisco, we headed to the preview of the Pulse Contemporary Art Fair New York. Full of strong rosters of international artists and galleries, the highlights included Geoff McFetridge at Cooper Cole, Rena Bransten's booth, Narwhal Projects, Porter Contemporary, and some very colorful works by David LaChapelle.
