With a backdrop of Baltimore smoldering, and nationwide furor continuing to escalate over police misconduct, MANIFEST:JUSTICE is a creative response, a call to action, a demand for justice. During this 10-day pop-up exhibition, MANIFEST:JUSTICE will bring together artists and activists alike to confront injustice and lift voices to envision a world where human and civil rights triumph and are honored.

Swiss-based publishing company Nieves curates some of the best printed material around, and they just released a new book/zine for California-based Geoff McFetridge entitled "Studies." The art in the book is based around Geoff's standout exhibition at V1 Gallery in Copenhagen last year, and showcases his now iconic, minimalist style.

From our good friend at 607Visual: We saw KRINK paint a Mini a few years ago and we haven't seen much since, but Mini is back with LA's Geoff McFetridge (cover artist of our September 2013 issue). In conjunction with the Burton European Open, Mini commissioned McFetridge to paint this one-of-a-kind Mini Countryman.

There is no question, and seeing our history of posts and features and cover stories, we here at Juxtapoz really like Los Angeles-based fine artist, designer, animator, muralist and all around super talent, Geoff McFetridge. In conjunction and with support from outdoor brand, Patagonia, Geoff has designed, constructed, and painted "The Sea Rambler," a dream bicycle of sorts, with the project being documented by Greg Hunt. Watch... “Materializing the Sea Rambler.”

We are huge fans of both Patagonia and Geoff McFetridge. Give us one of those hooded down sweaters and a Geoff painting, we are doing well. While getting coffee at our neighborhood spot this weekend, we saw an awesome mural/installation/product study on Patagonia's down products featuring the art of Geoff McFetridge. That led us to remember Geoff directed a short for the brand and has done some graphics for the SoCal outdoor company in recent years.

We stopped by Miami Project last night for their opening, and ran into a bunch of old friends along the way. Most importantly, we saw some great works in the Joshua Liner booth with Geoff McFetridge, Andrew Schoultz, Sam Friedman and Evan Hecox, Eleanor Harwood's booth with Paul Wackers, Driscoll Babcock's booth with Jenny Morgan, and some great new works from Greg "SP.One" Lamarche.

Joshua Liner Gallery presents the artist curated group show: Your Favorite Artist’s Favorite Artist. Featuring artists exhibited this year and in forthcoming 2015, each gallery artist has selected to show alongside a creative individual whom they admire. On view through December 20, this eclectic and diverse exhibition of work is a reflection of our vibrant 2014 program, and offers a fresh outlook for the coming year.

Geoff McFetridge just completed a mural at the historic West LA Courthouse skate spot. The mural is part of a greater project that reopened and repaired the spot, with Nike SB, local government and skaters working together to have it back open to public. Juxtapoz' Sam Graham went and snapped some shots this weekend. Public art, public space, skating... perfect. We asked Geoff to talk about the project, about both the mural and the skate spot itself, and in his own words, this is what he told us.

Our September 2013 cover aritst and all around great designer and artist Geoff McFetridge created a limited edition skate deck for Krooked recently, and the guys made a video profile to accompany it. We are sure that the deck may already sold out, but you can learn a thing or two from Geoff in the meantime.

If you remember, Spike Jonze's film "HER" had a bunch of really fantastic artistic touches, not to mention some fantastic film sequences shot in Shanghai. Juxtapoz cover artist Geoff McFetridge covered office walls with his drawings, and today, we wanted to take another look at David OReilly's animation work that coincided with shots inside Joaquin Phoenix's apartment. The "Alien Child" hologram sequences were all designed, 3d modeled, and composed by the former Jux feature artist OReilly. Another great example of how great filmmakers like Jonze are including the best of the best in art to help create his films.
