Jonathan LeVine Gallery will also be presenting Unforget Me, new works by Toronto-based artist Gary Taxali in what will be his second solo exhibition at the gallery. Unforget Me includes works on paper and panel, including the artist’s largest piece to date.

No question, we lost a legend last week with the passing of Maurice Sendak, and the New York Times published a portfolio this past weekend titled "Thanks, Maurice," inviting artists to re-imagine and create tributes to the author of Where The Wild Things Are. Geoff McFetridge, Gary Taxali, Jon Klassen, Marc Rosenthal, and Art Spiegelman were just a few of the artists who contributed tributes.

Gary Taxali was born in Chandigarh, India in 1968. A year later, he and his family immigrated to Toronto, Canada. The encouragement of his parents led Gary to take art classes as a child which eventually led him to pursue an art education.
