Spider Furniture by Bruno Freire

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, June 19, 2013
A few of us here in the office are in the process of buying some new furniture, and I know how i feel; I like things minimal but with a bit concept. Maybe I should go with this collection of spider furniture by designer Bruno Freire for Brazilian brand Oficina Polvo. The collection features an assortment of lamps, tables, desks, and even a chandelier.

The banana pool table by Cleon Daniel

Juxtapoz // Thursday, May 16, 2013
Maybe this is because we are super excited about the new Arrested Development season, but anything with a banana right now is on our radar. Cleon Daniel has created this hybrid of pool and miniature golf with the Banana Pool Table, complete with yellow felt and 4 holes instead of 6. We say there is a new beer pongish game to be had here....

Italian Cabinet Looks Like a Paused VHS Tape

This isn't a corrupted image, Italian architect Ferruccio Laviani built it to look like a wavy digital glitch. The piece, titled Good Vibrations Storage Unit is to appear at Italy's annual interior show Fratelli Boffi.

The Sparkling Geometric Table by John Foster

A Chair made Beach Debris by Studio Swine

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, March 05, 2013
London/São Paulo-based Studio Swine made a chair entirely from plastic recovered on the beach. The Sea Chair is created using a device that plucks plastic from debris and sorts it by color and then melts it for the various elements of the chair.

Two of our favorite artists and veterans of the print magazine, LA-based Chris Johanson and Johanna Jackson, just finished installing a new commission of custom furnishings on the Lindbrook Terrace at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles. The couple created chairs, tables, ottomans, and sofas incorporating used furniture, found wood, and colorful fabrics.

The Game Over Chair by DoKC Lab

Juxtapoz // Thursday, January 17, 2013
A nice little design from Italian studio, DoKC Lab, the Game Over Chair takes the look of the iconic Space Invaders game and makes it a household item. The best part? The interlocking design means no screws, no nails, no hassle, no swearing, no frustration.

Andy Ralph's Lawn Chair Sculptures

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, January 15, 2013
Andy Ralph is a San Diego-based artist that also sings in the band Writer. We first encountered his lawn chair sculptures in the Musuem of Contemporary Art, San Diego at their La Jolla location. In the gallery space that overlooks the surrounding reefs, coves, and beaches, these lawn chairs seemed perfectly placed in the grotesquely affluent and perfectly scenic coast side of La Jolla.
