Swedish artist Fredrik Akum's acrylic paintings are brilliant, chimerical portals into youthful impressions of summers past, recalling abstract imprints of hot, languid afternoons spent in nature. His warm and saturated palette seems intimately familiar, echoing the exaggerated essence of hazy memories as they struggle to take shape in the mind's eye.

We just came across the paintings of Swedish artist Fredrik Akum today, and around the office, we are quite impressed with the work. Using acrylic, the young Akum looks as if he is recreating a photo filter application. A really nice collection of painting after the jump . . .
