We are on deadline this morning, putting the finishing touches on the magazine, and found these vintage-appearing superhero posters by French illustrator, Grégoire Guillemin. They were created as part of Guillemin's exercises in style series, where he examined the classic superhero; Green Hornet, Batman, Thor, Iron Man, and others.

French artist, Mirka Lugosi, produces images that emphasizes the female form in a way that intertwines nature with the human psyche. With a soft skill for drawing the surreal, Mirka encapsulates the delicate form of the female while also using his talent to incorporate the odd and unusual entrapments of the natural world.

French sculpter Jean-Marc Laroche has carefully crafted life-sized skeletons out of varnished resin, held together in ecstaticly sensuous positions by an invisible steel framework for his new installation up at the Museum of Sex in New York City. The show “Les Amants du Néant,” or “Lovers from the Hereafter,” will run through November 4th.

After his time in Norway for Nuart, Spanish artist Escif headed to Niort, France for the Le 4eme MUR festival. Escif painted this wall, what he called Breaking the Noise with Silence, and had Eric Surmont create a video to accompany the piece. Watch the video after the jump . . .

We love a good optical illusion, and French collective Paper Donut just completed the Green Sqwear wall piece for the client Sqwear. We just love the simple details, the use of the wall space, the use of 6 walls and 14 spray cans.

We wrote on the site last month about the Post-It Wars happening in France between office workers. Friendly wars, using Post-It notes to create various classic and pop-icons. The wars are continuining, with new Ghostbuster, Sponge Bob, Cartman, and Michael Jackson pieces on the front lines.

French photographer Alain Delorme created this series, Totems, while living in Shanghai, China in 2009. As noted on his website, while one is usually fascinated by the delusion of grandeur of Chinese society, Delorme chose to focus on the individuals running around the city. The work is currently on display in Bilbao at Sala Rekalde.
