This week at SXSW, Spike Jonze will screen his short film based off of Arcade Fire's Album of the Year The Suburbs, "Scenes From the Suburbs." The short expands on Jonze's video for the lead track, "The Suburbs," where it follows kids in, you guessed it, the suburbs, as they deal with all things suburbia that the Arcade Fire album covered very well. Augustus Thompson "One Man" at FIFTY24SF Tonight

Camille Rose Garcia opens a new solo exhibition, "Snow White and the Black Lagoon" in Los Angeles, California at the Michael Kohn Gallery ths Saturday (March 12), and she sent us a video of her painting for the new show. As we wrote earlier, the "show plays off of the classic Grimm Brothers’ story, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarves”, with this series of paintings and drawings creating a modern day allegory for our delusional relationship with nature." Michel Gondry directs Living Sisters' "How Are You Doing?" video

We haven't spoke about Michel Gondry since our feature with the "The Green Hornet" director in our January 2011 issue, but we just saw that he directed a music video for Los Angeles-based trio, The Living Sisters. The video for "How Are You Doing?" features some trademark Gondry dreamlike sequences, including some airplance turbulence, laughter, and a house burning down. Watch after the jump . . .
