Goorin Brothers Chicago Mural Video w/ Pose, Steel, Reyes and Richard Colman

Goorin Bros gathered a group of Juxtapoz alumni in Pose, Steel, Reyes, and Richard Colman in Chicago's Wicker Park District to create a mural featuring a bunch of old imagery from past Goorin catalogs. KC Ortiz of We Are Supervision was at the helm for the video's production.

Tom Sachs, a Selby Film

Australian aritst, Anthony Lister, who made a fantastic shirt for us last year, was in Berlin recently for The Experiment: one show, one week to prepare it, and have someone document the process. And they made a video of Lister in Berlin.

"The Muppets" Film Trailer

We are just a tad protective of "The Muppets," mainly becase a lot of us grew up with all the famous characters. Seeing Kermt with Amy Adams and Jason Segel is a little jarring at first. The film will be released in November 2011, and we just have to remember, it is a family movie.

This was one of the more uncomfortable, but slightly intoxicating 9 minutes and 22 seconds we have spent watching a video art piece in quite some time. Martynka Wawrzyniak, who has been known to make these visual treatments, lets chocolate be poured on her without really moving for nearly 10 minutes.

Kinect Graffiti

This is a really interesting take on using Microsoft's Kinect camera: Kinect Graffiti. As the maker of this video, Jean-Christophe Naour, notes, the idea behind this project is to use the Kinect to track the motion behind graffiti. Visualizing the body and drawing trough different angles in real time, understanding surrounding space, pausing the time, etc...

As you may know by now, Jeremy Fish is opening a new solo show, Listen and Learn, at Joshua Liner Gallery in NYC on June 21, 2011. For this exhibition, Fish prepared "story paintings" with accompanying audio, including this one with Snoop Dogg.
