One of the great things about curating art at a music festival is, you guessed it, the bands, the photo pass, and that front row exposure. So, as Outside Lands was in full swing, we had our photographer Jordan Joseffer embed himself at a few stages to capture Foo Fighters, Big Boi, Die Antwoord, Franz Ferdinand, Jack White, Beck, and Thee Oh Sees.

We love looking forward to a good bit of travel. Nuart 2012 is all set, and we are heading back out to Stavanger, Norway this year to take part in one of the world's premiere public art festivals. This year's lineup, including a little conference featuring Juxtapoz, will include Ron English, Saber, Hownosm, Eine, and others.

Another year, another great 3-day weekend in Golden Gate Park. Once again, Juxtapoz curated the art for the annual Outside Lands Music and Art Festival in San Francisco, and this year, we really took our time to take in the festival, the people, the artists we worked with, the atmosphere, and the incredible foggy nights. Our good friends at S.O. Terik provided an extra dose of art at this year's Lollapalooza, creating the Perry’s Container with a powerful group of artists from Los Angeles. Known as the S.O.TERIK artists, the team traveled to Chicago to collaborate with the top talent in Chi-Town in an unbelievable collaboration art installation project combining 14 contrasting styles of art on one landmark.

Former SF and Portland based artist, Chris Johanson, has again organized the Quiet Music Festival of Portland, a celebration of quiet music as well as the act of quiet listening. The two-day music event opens on Friday, June 15 and runs through Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Portland's local arts and cultural organization Disjecta.
