Along with big and well known festivals in major cities around the world, there is still a strong DIY scene out there putting out some great events and producing some amazing street work. The little historic town of Vodnjan in Istria, Croatia, is this year hosting their 3rd edition of Boombarstick festival, and one of the invited artists recently finished his mural.

The Ono’u Tahiti graffiti festival is well underway, with news stations and locals flocking to the city of Papeete to get the scoop on what is one of the biggest art related events this island has seen. Between eating fresh fish and taking multiple swims in crystal clear waters, we have been zig-zagging between walls to keep up on the progress.

Every winter in San Francisco, the city's clubs are taken over by the great Noise Pop Festival, featuring an assortment of music acts, art activities, and cultural events. This year, Real Estate, No Age, Dr Dog, Fresh & Onlys, Mikal Cronin, Vetiver, Shabazz Palaces, Sun Kil Moon, and DJ Rashad are just a few of the musical acts. On Saturday, March 1, Juxtapoz and Noise Pop will hold the SF premier of "Grey City," a documentary on São Paulo, Brazil's influential graffiti history and controversial laws.

The 3-day graffiti and street art festival, Wonderwalls kicks off tomorrow in Wollongong, Australia. To no surprise, the event will feature many large-scale walls being painted, but also several artist talks (including Q&A) and an art exhibition. This will be the second year for the festival and they have put together a great lineup that includes artists such as Askew, Sofles, Vans the Omega, Roach, Twoone, Shida, Fintan Mcgee, Sirum, Treas and many more.

Juxtapoz is very excited that for the 3rd year in a row, we will be heading to Stavanger, Norway for the fantastic international-in-scope street and public art festival, Nuart. Every year, the Nuart crew puts together not only an interesting line-up that let's artists explore new angles and creative versions of their art, but also provides panels and context to public art. This year, David Choe, Vhils, Martha Cooper, ROA, C215, Dal East, Faith 47, and M-City are just some of the names that will be on the Western coast of Norway this September.
