Federico Uribi Paints with Repurposed Electrical Wires

Miami-based, Columbian conceptual artist Federico Uribi recently released a new series of works made from electrical and a/v cables titled Contectado. Much of Federico's work is devoted to the language of pop art through the use of repurposed objects. He initially began his career as a painter 'influenced by his dark reflections on the Catholic sense of pain, guilt and sexuality'

Not using pencils, but literally utilizing pencils as the actual materials in which to make the sculptural portraits. The Colombia born, Miami based artist, Federico Uribe, created the series Pencilism: Sculptures, where the sculptures come alive with multi-layered expressions and textures.
