Fausto Gilberti is an Italian artist whose black and white drawings and paintings reflect on a kind of popular subconscious. According to Gilberti, "What I'm really interested in doing when I paint is creating an image quite unsuitable for being hung over a couch or by a cupboard. If many find it appealing I start worrying. I'm content when what I do makes you look twice."
