Carlos Valenzuela is an Illustrator, specializing in rendering both color and black and white pieces of fantasy, complete with the damsel in distress and the looming predator. Living and working in Chile, Carlos also has his hand in comic book illustration as well (both erotic and um... normal).

From the site of Goni Montes, an illustrator we really admire, "I was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, got a BA from the UPR at Mayagüez, and an MFA from SCAD Atlanta. I began working as a scientific illustrator for the Puerto Rico Sea Grant. Now I mostly do editorial illustrations with some fantasy here and there."

Inquiring about just HOW sculptor/production designer Stacey Ransom and portrait photographer Jason Mitchell create the imaginative "surreality" that they do is like asking David Blaine how he pulls autographed money out of his belly button. There's no answer or method that could satisfy the question.

A fantastic series of surreal, scientific, fantasy paintings by New York City based artist Cane Dojcilovic. As part of explaining his process, Cane notes, "Million brush strokes, million graphite threads… Simplifying complicated artfulness, eliminating hollow sentimentality into synthetic void… Million thoughts, million absences of thoughts… Complicating simple yet again, fragmenting…"

At first we thought this was work done on top of found art, but once we realized this was the brand new series of Italian painter, Agostino Arrivabene, we liked the work even more. Surreal, fantastical constructions of oil on wood, Arrivabene's works remind us of dark tarot cards. The artist lives and works in Gradella di Pandino, Italy.

DE ES was born in 1942 in Gresten, Lower Austria, as Dieter Schwertberger. He studied the painting technique of the Old Masters in Vienna and is an independent artist since 1962. DE ES lived three years in Switzerland and twelve years in New York City. The painter is using the artist name DE ES since 1972. He lives again in Vienna since 1986.

Shin-Young recently creates portraits juxtaposing ordinary, routine tasks against a backdrop of current news articles featuring a variety of social, political and environmental issues and events.

Jagi Note is an Artist based in Melbourne, Australia.  Games from the early 1990's had a profound influence on his imagination and still inspires his artwork to this day. Ah, we love it when it gets a little weird and intriguing. Montreal-based painter, Heidi Taillefer makes some of the most intricate, detailed, and other-worldly images we have seen in quite some time. Citing the influence of early 20th century artists like Max Ernst, Giorgio deChirico, and Paul Delvaux, Taillefer has applied a futuristic vision to the early surrealists.

Hsiao-Ron Cheng is a freelance illustrator and artist based in Taipei, Taiwan. She works with a variety of media including pencil, oils, and digital. In her own words, 'my work alludes to the deformation that physically separates humans from plants and animals. The environments and situations that I paint are often of a surrealist nature, reminiscent of school, and partly based on fantasy...'
