As Issued Art + Design Bookstore and Laguna College of Art and Design (LCAD) alongside the Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA) are hosting the release and public book signing with associate professor of Fine Art Painting - F. Scott Hess on Friday, November 21st. He will be signing his recently published retrospective book from 7- 9pm for the public in attendance.

The second coming of The Representational Art Conference (TRAC) will take place March 2-5, 2014 at the Crowne Point Plaza hotel in Ventura. The 4-day conference is packed with presentations, demos, and panel discussions given by an international cast of artists, curators, philosophers, and art writers. The brain child of Michael Pearce and Michael Lynn Adams, the conference was founded in 2012 responding to a need for more writing and organizational support for our growing contemporary figurative movement.

Scott Hess, about his new works on display at Koplin Del Rio Gallery in Culver City beginning January 11, 2014. On Saturday, March 31, Corey Helford Gallery will open the group exhibition, “Hookers,”curated by Los Angeles artist Natalia Fabia. Fabia’s curatorial debut will feature 22 artists’ interpretation of the term “Hooker.” Focusing on figurative painting, the exhibition highlights a wide range of accomplished artists whom Fabia admires, many of which she went to college with or studied under at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
