Using Animated Gifs that have remained online and unchanged since 1999, A Tribute to Heather is a collection of One Gif Compositions created from single gifs found on Heather's Animations by fromer Juxtapoz feature, Evan Roth.

Evan Roth, featured in October 2010, is set to open a new exhibition, Welcome to Detroit, at the Eastern Michigan University Gallery today, March 14. Eastern Michigan University's Art Department awarded Roth the McAndless Distinguished Professorship for 2012, composed of a 6-week residency in Detroit, a teaching opportunity at Eastern, a solo exhibition and a lecture tour, this award of $30,000 was designed to allow an artist to produce new work and reach across institutional borders.

Doesn't look like much now does it. But in fact, this is former Juxtapoz Magazine featured artist Evan Roth's newest project called Multi-Touch Finger Paintings, paintings created by performing routine tasks on multi-touch hand held computing devices.

One of our favorite features over the past few years was our conversation with Evan Roth, one of the leading artists in new technology and HTML code art. He recently had a solo exhibition in NYC called When We Were Kings, featuring high-end minimal and pure Internet-based pieces.

Well, we aren't sure what the Wu-Tang Clan thinks of clearning your cache, but knowing that the RZA is a bright guy, he would appreciate "Cache Rules Everything Around Me." Evan Roth is impressive if the only thing we knew about him was his .gif collection. Video after the jump . . .
