Evan Roth, featured in October 2010, is set to open a new exhibition, Welcome to Detroit, at the Eastern Michigan University Gallery today, March 14. Eastern Michigan University's Art Department awarded Roth the McAndless Distinguished Professorship for 2012, composed of a 6-week residency in Detroit, a teaching opportunity at Eastern, a solo exhibition and a lecture tour, this award of $30,000 was designed to allow an artist to produce new work and reach across institutional borders.
