We would expect more collaborations between artists, Escif and Hyuro, solely based on their similar styles and both being in Valencia, Spain, however that’s not the case. Occasionally they do work together and when they do they compliment each other well. On this new wall, Hyuro used her talents to paint a number of wolfs while Escif created two identical classic-looking yellow cars.

Escif continues to comment with his art in the streets on the current economic situation and politics in his country of Spain. This new piece is entitled “ "Jaque Mate"  which means “Checkmate” in English.

The exceptionally talented and conceptual muralist, Escif, appropriately titled this mural of equestrian horse jumping Austerity. “Show jumping is a discipline which is a timed event judged on the ability of the horse and rider to jump over a series of obstacles. This discipline is one of the most popular sports and equestrian riders most used today, and is the most modern specialty equestrian sport that has come to turn the classic sport of riding in a spectator sport” says Escif relating to this particular piece.

Escif has been painting a series of plants as the subjects for his newest murals.  The use of color is something we rarely see from him and they are esthetically very different from his usual work. These two murals are the first of a series of six.
