February 2011 cover artist, Escif, just painted this new wall in Valencia, Spain, with fellow Spanish artist, SAN. They call it, "Preparing a Duall Army." We also just got word that both artists will be showing this summer in San Francisco, and will be touring California while painting multiple walls as the build-up to the show. Madrid, Spain-based SAN is the latest artist in collaboration with Blik to create a unique wall graphic. We are huge fans of SAN here at the magazine, and since our interview with the artist in the magazine in August 2007, we have followed his career as he exhibits around the world. We recently spoke with Spanish artist, SAN, as he finished hanging his new exhibition at Don Gallery in Milan, Italy. *Every Sunday, Juxtapoz.com will highlight an artist that we feel is currently on the cusp of a new level of critical and technical success. The artist we feature will not necessarily be unknown, nor will they be of a pre-established museum career. But they will be artists who have showcased progress in a new body of work that deserves continual examination. We will mostly look at the work itself and let the art speak. Today, we feature Spanish street and fine artist, Escif.

“With some artists, you get worried that time won’t be enough to do all they want to do while they’re here,” writes Fame Fest organizer Angelo Milano, “while with some others you realize how wall painting-addicted they are and you think that the town does not have enough walls to make em happy.”
