We are proud to kick off the Fall season with a cover story on San Francisco-based fine artist Richard Colman. Richard's work has evolved and expanded so much since we last spoke to him in 2010, and his newest body of work continues to be an exploration on the way we as humans communicate and interact. We spent a few weeks with Richard in his studio in SF as well as around the city he calls home to catch a glimpse at the intricate details of the working artist's life.

Art Basel Hong Kong just closed, but now the art world shifts its attention to Europe, Switzerland to be exact, for the annual Art Basel fair/week. Our friends at Thinkspace Gallery will showing at Scope Basel, with a 2-person exhibition featuring Juxtapoz cover artist Audrey Kawasaki and longtime Jux favorite, Esao Andrews. On Saturday, May 26, Thinkspace Gallery will open the big group show, Wild At Heart: Keep Wildlife in the Wild, an exhibition to raise awareness about the precarious predicament of wild creatures around the world, and to benefit efforts to protect them in their natural habitat. Featuring more than 110 artists, the show features works from Aaron Horkey, ARYZ, Dabs Myla, Esao Andrews, Know Hope, Pedro Matos, and many others.

Tara McPherson and her Cotton Candy Machine space in Brooklyn will be opening a Holiday Giclee Show tonight, December 2nd, celebrating CCM's new venture into giclee printing. Paul Pope, Tara, Travis Louie, Jeremy Hush, and Esao Andrews will all have giclees on exhibit and available to purchase.
