Jane Radstrom is a painter and designer based in Austin, TX. Her work focuses mainly on the body, specifically the female body, as it lives and strives in its fluctuating form. It's easy to get lost in Radstrom's ever-thoughtful explorations into the pastel impressions of double-exposed portraiture. These oil drawings are soft, sensual and very deliberate, exposing the intellect in the process behind each artwork. Radstrom says that she lives a quiet life of cooking, eating, teaching, painting and scheming.

The piece is called "Carson's mood," evoking a dreamlike atmosphere that reveals the tactility of the medium as the paint drips down against her shoulder.  With almost vector-like precision, Sanches arranges fields of varying blues to build up form and depth. This is a lovely portrait of sensitive sensuality.

Vanessa Gong is a Chinese artist who is currently based in Norway. Her ongoing project, "The Geometric Boobs," utilizes hand-painted pyramids in made different forms and for many different uses, decorating wall-pieces and populating sculptural objects. The pyramidal, sharp-edged "geometric boobs" seem to be a point of obsession for Gong, and we find these bright little interpretations of the body part to be a quirky and inspiring take on erotica as it functions in contemporary art.
