Ericailcane x Bastardilla in Italy Part 2

Street Art // Tuesday, July 23, 2013
Last week, Ericailcane and Bastardilla combined efforts painting a large wall for the Icone5.9 Festival in Modeni, Italy. The two varying styles of each of these artists complement and blend well with each other, creating a very natural-looking collaboration. Their new mural shows Ericailcane’s menacing bunnies burning a car with the help of a matchbox held by Bastardilla’s bright orange-red character.

In collaboration with the Icone Festival in Camposanto, Italy, EricailCane and Bastardilla, combined efforts painting this large new piece using nothing but rollers. An elephant and a human can be seen lying in a house with Band-Aids on the façade, referencing last year’s earthquake in the region.

We turned our heads for a second and when we looked back EricailCane had already painted a ton of murals in multiple countries. Places like Bolivia, Ireland, Spain, and Italy, collaborating with artists Blu and Tellas as well. Traveling and painting beautiful murals, aka “Living the Dream.”

Lizard Riding Chickens by Ericailcane

Street Art // Monday, February 25, 2013
A couple of chickens can catch a ride on a giant lizard, right? In Ericailcane’s reality they can. The artist recently painted exactly that on a wall in Tuxla, Mexico and it looks exceptionally fantastic.

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, November 14, 2012
With several collaborations in the past, artists Blu and Ericailcane once more combined efforts to create a wonderful piece on what used to be a school in Bari, Italy. The buildings collective “Socrate Occupato” is now home to around 60 immigrated refugees. The two artists worked with the themes of migration and pilgrimage. A detailed flooded city was painted by Blu, while an arc with animals seeking refuge for their crossing was painted by Ericailcane.

Ericailcane in Niort, France

Street Art // Monday, October 29, 2012
Ericailcane’s stylized storybook illustrations of animals in humanlike situations remain a favorite on ours. His work at first appears childlike, but contains adult issues and context. This new piece containing ducks and oil cans was painted for the 4eme Mur Festival in Niort, France.

Ericailcane @ Fame Festival 2012

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, September 19, 2012
Last year at this time, we were traversing the streets of Grottaglie, Italy, enjoying FAME Festival and the murals that have gone up in the town over the past years. An interview with Angelo Milano of FAME and Studiocromie later, we have to enjoy this year's FAME from a distance, but we love what we are seeing from March 2010 subscriber cover artist, Ericailcane on the side of an apartment building.
