This past weekend we stopped by Corey Helford Gallery for the opening reception of their latest group exhibit “Pop-Eyeconic.” Looking to explore the iconic characters who define popular artistic symbolism, we have asked an ambitious and diverse group of artists - from street to surreal to New Classicist - to provide one new work each, featuring their choice of POP ICONS that have special meaning to them, but rendering the icons in each artist’s own particular style and placing them in situations relevant to that artist’s usual subject matter.

On Saturday, August 10, 2013, Corey Helford Gallery presents “First World Problems” featuring the wild, visionary robot paintings of artist Eric Joyner, his fifth solo show with the gallery. Eric Joyner’s paintings explore surreal robot sagas of mechanical life in the material world.

We stopped by Corey Helford Gallery for their latest exhibition “Crucifixion,” a group exhibition inspired by the images and symbolic influence of the crucifixion. Tomorrow, January 21, Eric Joyner opens It's A Jungle Out There, a new body of work at Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City. The exhibition will feature 18 pop-surrealism paintings of robots interacting with jungle animals. We sat down with Joyner to discuss inspirations, salads, and robots and donuts.

Juxtapoz alumnist Eric Joyner, famed for his robot and donut paintings, returns and opens a solo show, It’s a Jungle Out There, at Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City this January 22, 2012.
