Juxtapoz @ E3 2012: Borderlands 2 can make you an army of one

Juxtapoz // Sunday, June 10, 2012
The loot ridden, fun hoarding title known as Borderlands is at it again. Rampaging around with your friends, while taking down huge enemies, and pillaging their gear has never looked so good. This title has become known for it's simply huge selection of guns, upgrades, and perks which make for some of the most unique FPS gaming around.

Bethesda is at it again, combing their unique combat system with a intriguing new world. Dishonored takes place in a steam punk world, running on whale oil to survive. You are the ex bodyguard of the empresses, trying to regain your honor after being framed for her assassination. However as you struggle to prove your innocence, you gain amazing psychic abilities along the way to help in your journey.

Juxtapoz @ E3 2012: Small Screen, Big Fun

Juxtapoz // Saturday, June 09, 2012
Handhelds are a great way to get your gaming fix on the go. Until recently that came at a cost of graphic quality as wells as depth of games. With the addition last year of the Playstation Vita, that has all changed. Not only to you get the graphics expected from a modern day title, but developers are fully backing the latest must have mini console. The two titles that caught my eye were Gravity Rush and Sound Shapes.

Juxtapoz @ E3 2012: Unlike anything you've seen before, Unfinished Swan

Juxtapoz // Saturday, June 09, 2012
Nothingness is not a common theme you find in the gaming world. When hundreds of games are competing to be seen with hyper-color characters, dense environments, and action packed / bullet ridden sequences, nothingness can scream at you though. Especially when you uncover the brilliant game design hidden underneath the surface as you do in the title Unfinished Swan.

Juxtapoz @ E3 2012: Surrounding the Games

Juxtapoz // Friday, June 08, 2012
With companies spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to attract your attention at E3, there is rarely a moment of downtime as you walk around the show floor.  Amazing display booths, detailed and exact costumes, and booth babes all scream at you to pay attention to the games they support. These are the some of the things that make E3 like a 720,000 square foot mini-Vegas.

Juxtapoz @ E3 2012: Small But Mighty Games

Juxtapoz // Friday, June 08, 2012
Xbox live arcade games have become some of my favorites to play during the last two years. The risks they are willing to take in both styling and gameplay is what sets them apart from the mainstream titles. Plus, their short, action packed, and creative levels make for a level of replayablity that is unmatched. Here are some of the highlights from this years offerings.

Juxtapoz @ E3: Into the Pixel 2012

Juxtapoz // Thursday, June 07, 2012
One of best parts of getting into these types of events for me is the behind the scenes art you get access to. Into the Pixel is the only traveling art show I have found which exposes the general public to the countless hours of concept art that goes into the video games they love. The time and effort the artists put into the games is truly under appreciated . . .

With the Wii approaching the 6 year mark, Nintendo has outpaced their console competitors with console releases. Previewed last year, the WiiU is on full display this year. Streaming media options were mentioned involving Hulu plus, Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon video. The announcement of the ability to use two controllers simultaneously is a shock, and should bring exciting new options to the system. But this event was all about the games.
