Jonathan LeVine Gallery is pleased to present Out of Knowhere, a series of new works by New York-born, California-based artist Doze Green, in what will be his fifth solo exhibition at the gallery. We have always been huge fans of the former Juxtapoz cover artist, and this looks like some of his strongest works to date.

And finally, the art. We are so proud of all the artwork that is on exhibit in "Art Truancy: Celebrating 20 Years of Juxtapoz Magazine," open at Jonathan LeVine Gallery in NYC through June 14, 2014. It blows our mind that we are now two decades old, but what is even more amazing are all the artists that have been in our pages over those years. Their works tell the story, create the chance to document alternative art narratives, bring out the fans, bring out the collectors, and keep the creative energy of Juxtapoz alive. Here, then, is all the art in "Art Truancy."

On May 15, 2014, Juxtapoz and Jonathan LeVine Gallery will open "Art Truancy: Celebrating 20 Years of Juxtapoz Magazine," a group exhibition at both of LeVine's spaces at 557C West 23rd Street & 529 West 20th Street in Manhattan. The exhibition features a wide-range of cover artists and featured artists from over the past 20 years, and today we have a look at some of the covers from artists in the show. From Robert Williams to Grotesk, Mark Ryden to Swoon, here is a bit of a history lesson to catch up on, or reminisce over.

Rarely can we say that seeing a mural on video can be just as good as in person, but our Contributing Editor Joey Garfield has made sure that you get the full effect in this short video of Doze Green's exceptional mural in Chicago. Created for the Miles Of Murals program, this mural just keeps going, and going, and going...

Doze Green opened a new solo show, Luminosity in the Dark Rift, at Jonathan LeVine in NYC last month, featuring some of our favorite Doze works to date. Colin Day, who shot a bunch of photos for us last year at Outside Lands in SF, shot a great video of Doze preparing the new works at a studio in San Francisco. A great look at former Juxtapoz cover artist, from February 2008, and his behind-the-scenes preparation.

Jeremy Fish has just put the finishing touches on his property in the midst of the new Lower Haight mural in San Francisco. His master finish incorporates a Silly Pink Bunny statue as the "Hello" moment upon entry into one of the last locals neighborhood in the City. More after the jump . . .

Art fans capped off an unusually warm day in New York City with a lovely evening of harmless debauchery at Jonathan LeVine Gallery featuring work by a trio of established and rising stars in the modern art world.

In affiliation with Jonathan LeVine Gallery, Choque Cultural is having a three-person exhibition with Tara McPherson (work above) Doze Green (work below) and Jim Houser, with a special installation by Adam Wallacavage. All four of these artists are not only living legends in the world of contemporary art, but they have all gotten love in the pages of Juxtapoz, so (needless to say) we’re pretty damn excited that they will be making their collective debut in Brazil at Choque Cultural. The show opens January 17th, 2009, with all artists in attendance, and will remain on display thru February 27th, 2009. More at www.choquecultural.com.br
