Tomorrow, in the small Northern California coastal town of Bolinas, Don Ed Hardy will have an exhibition open at the Bolinas Museum, The Art of Don Ed Hardy Including, But Not Limited To. We have attended shows at the Bolinas Museum, including Barry McGee and Clare Rojas, and the curation continues to be excellent in the artistically conscious but secluded town.

Juxtapoz is pleased to announce that Don Ed Hardy, the pioneering tattoo and fine artist, is both the newsstand and subscriber cover artist for our new June 2011 issue. We spoke with Hardy about his show at the Artists Gallery with SFMoMA on June 9, 2011, The Unruly Art of Don Ed Hardy.

One of the original spirits in all of tattoo culture and art, Don Ed Hardy, will be creating a site-specific installation at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art's Artist Gallery at Fort Mason in The Unruly Art of Don Ed Hardy this June, 2011. It will include cast resin work layered with vintage Hardy acetate tattoo stencils, porcelain pieces with cobalt handwork, original prints, and large-scale original brush painting. More after the jump . . .
