Derek Nobbs was born in 1980 and has since then taken up an illustration style that involves morbidly adventurous outdoors-men, sailors and nautical themed imagery. He lives and paints in the Pacific Northwest and explains, 'I paint on a heavyweight hot-press paper, 300 lb. I give it that aged look using various common things: coffee, tea, whiskey, tobacco and tears.'

Derek Nobbs was born in 1980 and currently lives, creates and explores in the Pacific Northwest. His nostalgic, adventure based tales are made on a heavyweight hot-press paper, and he gives them an aged look using various common things: coffee, tea, whiskey, tobacco and tears. Much like traditional flash tattoo's and the stories told by old fisherman, Nobb's work appears to be filled with tales of life, love, loss and death.
