Over the weekend a large crowd of attendees stopped by Needles and Pens in San Francisco for the opening of Everything Ever and Nothing Never.  Curated by Juxtapoz contributing editor, Austin McManus, this group show consists of an eclectic roster of established and emerging artists working in a variety of mediums.

Based in Los Angeles, CA, David Jien received his BFA from Art Center College of Design in 2009. As a first generation Taiwanese-American, a veteran tagger who spent time in jail, and a recent art school graduate, Jien utilizes the unique facts and experiences of his life as raw material for the fantastic stories and characters that are represented in his work.

We are looking forward to fine artist David Jien's solo show at Richard Heller Gallery in Santa Monica, California this September 2011. Jien creates smaller, very detailed works using solor pencil, gouache, graphite and gold leaf on paper.
