Dan-ah Kim was born in Seoul, Korea and resides in Brooklyn, NY. Her works are delicate, full of texture, patterns and minute details. The loveliness and preciousness of her picture book-like illustrations are met with hints of darkness, solitude and a certain air of gravitas. A graduate of the Pratt Institute, she currently makes art and works in film and television.
