DALeast’s newest piece in San Juan, Puerto Rico for the Los Muros Hablan Street art Festival, is based on a statue of Christopher Columbus located in town. The artist repainted the statue in his sketchy, meticulously detailed, lin-based style.

Chinese street artist, Dal, opened his new solo exhibition “Powder of Light” at Jonathan Levine Gallery in New York City this weekend. The show will consist of the artist’s ribbon-style animals, applied in a range of mediums on tea-stained canvases. The show will run through December 29, 2012.

Dal made great use of space when painting a mural on this building in Cape Town, South Africa. His unique ribbon-styled animals are sprinkled around the building trying to get to the top where a crowned lion is luring them.

The Bowery in New York received a new addition to its ever-changing urban landscape from Chinese muralist, Dal. The artist painted what looks to be a lion/rhinoceros/numerous species mash up in his ribbon style method.

DAl’s newest mural painted in Melun, France is of a massive whale shooting to the top of a tiled building. This particular mural entitled “C” reminds us of a tornado, full of energy and movement.

Dal’s newest mural that spans two blocks of a building in Windhoek, Namibia is titled “Breaking Tempo.” A number of his distinct ribbon style animals are scene running, jumping, and shedding their strange material on this mural.

Chinese artist, Dal’s newest mural titled “Milestone” was painted in Guguletu Township, an area well known for its poverty and seediness. Dal painted a lengthy bird-like airplane in his signature ribbon style.
