Czech artist and architect Magdalena Jetelova's Domestication of Pyramids was installed in multiple locations between 1992 and 1994. Fragments of pyramids appear to take over the walls of each space, allowing the viewer to imagine that the structures continue outside and beyond the spaces.

  Oldřich Kulhánek a Czech painter, graphic designer, illustrator, stage designer and pedagogue passed away this January. In 1917 he was arrested by the Secret Police and imprisoned for 'defamation of the allied socialist states.' His distorted portrait of Stalin and other graphics were considered 'ideologically dangerous.' Kulhánek created the design for the current Czech banknotes and postage stamps.  

We just watched the trailer for the film, Alois Nebel, adapted from the graphic novels of Jaroslav Rudiš and Jaromír 99, and its pretty amazing. The Czech filmed will be shown at the London Film Festival on October 25 and 27. Watch the trailer after the jump . . .
