Herb Williams' Tree of 75,000 Crayons

Herb Williams is known as a master crayon artist, and he is now the maker of a 75,000 crayon tree at the Nashville International Airport. Created through the Art in the Airport program, is over 7 feet tall and 15 long. A spectrum is covered, that is for sure.

It is one thing to draw portraits with crayons, and it is another thing to arrange the tips of crayons in such a way as to create a photorealistic portrait. Christian Faur does the latter, where he arranges the tips of crayons, stacked straight up, into pixel-like compositions that act as portraits. The results are quite impressive.
