On Saturday, May 18th, CHG Circa presents "Recent Projects" by artist Michael Mararian. Michael Mararian returns to Corey Helford's second space, CHG Circa, with more of his delightfully absurd and humorous works. Rendering traditionally cheerful images and concepts into frightening, yet humorous tableaus, Michael Mararian often focuses on children as the last bastion of innocence to explore the dark humor behind social and psychological issues.

  On Saturday, May 18th, 2013, Corey Helford Gallery presents “Unseen,” an exhibition of new paintings by international street artist HUSH, his first solo exhibition with the gallery. The women of “Unseen,” enciphered with street tags and abstractions, appear as graffiti specters, colorful visages of noir street action. Under street influence, HUSH paints the exhibit’s imagery as an inward vision, revealing layers of urban histories and figurative dimensions.

This past weekend we stopped by Corey Helford Gallery for the opening reception of “Japanese Ideology of Puberty,” Kazuki Takamatsu’s latest solo exhibition.  We interviewed Kazuki in our new May 2013 issue, which you can read right here and learn how he develops and creates these incredible paintings with computer graphics. We stopped by Corey Helford Gallery for their latest exhibition “Crucifixion,” a group exhibition inspired by the images and symbolic influence of the crucifixion. Tonight, November 10, at Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City, London-based fine artist Chloe Early opens a new body of work, entitled Rainbow Ruins. The work is based on a chromatic meditation on the lush contrasts of nature and technology. On the occasion of Early's return to the US, we sat down for a brief conversation before her show opens.

On Saturday, November 10, Corey Helford Gallery is pleased to present Rainbow Ruins, a new solo exhibition of oil and watercolor paintings by artist Chloe Early. The paintings of Rainbow Ruins are a chromatic meditation on the lush contrasts of nature and technology. On Saturday, November 3, 2012, CHG Circa (Corey Helford Gallery's new space) will feature La Catrina, Sylvia Ji’s new paintings of sublime Catrina beauty and her fifth solo exhibition with the gallery. Central to the paintings of La Catrina is the specter of La Calavera Catrina, an iconic deity of Mexico’s Day of the Dead celebrations, invoked by Sylvia Ji as a chromatic presence enciphered with allegory. Coinciding with the opening, Ji will release two new prints exclusive to CHG Circa, available at the opening.

On Saturday, September 15, 2012, Corey Helford Gallery is extremely proud to present Empire, an exhibition of new paintings by New York artist Martin Wittfooth. Empire marks Wittfooth’s first solo exhibition at Corey Helford Gallery and his most powerful work to date.

This past weekend we had the pleasure of viewing Giles Walker’s latest installation The Last Supper which is presented by Corey Helford in a temporary space in Culver City. The 20-foot long installation of fully operational robots performing his interpretation of the Last Supper of Christ.
