La Noche de la Fusion, Gary Baseman's next solo show, opens Saturday, May 2nd at Corey Helford Gallery. Be sure to save the date to attend this one-of-a-kind celebration, as it ensures to be a night like no other. . .this isn't just a regular art show reception. It's a celebration, a ceremony, a unique experience.
La Noche de la Fusion’s debut will feature women in Baseman-inspired Carnivale costumes, live music, Baseman characters coming to life, and a sacrificial ceremony during the opening reception. The artist “guarantees you've never seen anything like this.” Or maybe you have...the influences for this show can be found the world over, inspired by Baseman's round-the-world travels in 2008 and 2009.
It's a night of fusing and melting cultures, of blurring lines of reality, of melting the walls and forces that hold one back, it's La Noche de la Fusion.
