As we noted on the site earlier this week, our good friend, NYC-based Dennis McNett, has a show opening at MOHS in Copenhagen, Denmark starting this April 19, 2013. Remember, for the last 6 years the Wolfbat tribe has grown and performed ceremony, sacrifice, and spread the way of the Wolfbat throughout the North American continent. Artifacts from these ceremonies are presented here at Mohs in Copenhagen to show that Wolfbats are indeed real. Henrik Haven wait to check in...

Juxtapoz' good friend, Dennis McNett, will be in Copenhagen for a new exhibition at MOHS starting this April 19, 2013. There is a long description about the cryptic nature of the show, that you can read after the jump, but just know this: For the last 6 years the Wolfbat tribe has grown and performed ceremony, sacrifice, and spread the way of the Wolfbat throughout the North American continent. Europe, be ready.

Our friend Henrik Haven stopped by the new Clare Rojas exhibition at Galleri Nicolai Wallner in Copenhagen this past weekend. As we have seen in a past exhibition at PRISM in Los Angeles, the San Francisco-based artist has moved away from her more figurative folk works into more abstract, minimalist explorations in color and shape.

Copenhagen visual artist, Julie Nord, has created an amazing body of work that is playful and full of doll-like girls with big almond-shaped eyes in feminine dresses, cuteanimals and neat arabesques. She has representation from one of our favorite galleries, Copenhagen's V1.

Last week, one of our favorites, Husk Mit Navn (Remember My Name), opened a brand new body of work, One of These Days, at Copenhagen's V1 Gallery. The show is a big one, 13 paintings and 19 works on paper, and we are happy that Henrik Haven was able to head to the gallery and shoot the works in context of the space.

In conjunction with V1 Gallery's 10 year anniversary show, Tonight We Won't Be Bored, the Copenhagen-based gallery just released a series of editions that include Todd James, Richard Colman, Anika Lori, Andrè Saraiva (Mr A), Geoff McFetridge, and HuskMItNavn (Remember My Name). To us, V1 has one of the best programs of any of the galleries we cover, and we want to say congrats on 10 years of showing great artists, and here's to 10 more!

Juxtapoz friend and San Francisco fine artist, Jason Jägel is set to open a new body of work at Galleri Christoffer Egelund in Copenhagen, Denmark this Friday, October 26, 2012. The Castle & Other Works is a series of paintings that originate as "blotter" paper: a base layer beneath other on-going paintings that naturally accrues random overpaint, test brush marks, notations, inattentive attention and text.

Public Light Interventions by Armsrock http://www.juxtapoz.com/current/public-light-interventions-by-armsrock http://www.juxtapoz.com/current/public-light-interventions-by-armsrock Public Light Interventions by Armsrock
We have always loved the work of Danish artist, Armsrock, featuring him in the magazine when he was doing brilliant street works of everyday people in their normal everyday environments. We are a litlte late to the game on these, but the artist created these fantastic light interventions for his series "Markinger", where he projected engravings done with an etching needle on black Pani slide. The project was done at a train station in 2010 in Copenhagen.
