We are fully in that time of the year, where European cities are getting some very fine mural makeovers from some of the best contemporary muralists in the world, and Copenhagen got a fine treatment from the likes of Spanish artist, and Juxtapoz favorite, ARYZ. Henrik Haven caught the mural as it was being painted, and set us some great in-progress and completed shots.

Aryz is currently in the process of adding color to some bare brick in Copenhagen, Denmark. The artist is participating in one of the many street art festivals going on around the globe, this one being the Galore Festival. From here, it looks like an image of a man getting choked by a woman, although it could be a passionate hug from behind? Completed mural coming soon!

Loving this photo of Ari Marcopoulos' that is one his show flyer for Here And Now at V1 Gallery in Copenhagen, Denmark. And just as Ari wanted, this new exhibition features works only from the, wait for it, here and now. As V1 writes of the famed photographer, "In Here and Now he (Ari) wanted to just show his work from 2012, and most of the prints, as can be seen from the date stamp in the lower-right hand corners, are from March this year."

We are getting ourselves prepared for some time at The Armory Show in NYC, and one of the booths we will most certainly check out if Copenhagen's V1 Gallery, who is presenting a "Nordic Focus" for their showing. One of the artists of interest is photographer Peter Funch, one we have featured in the magazine before and will be presenting new triptychs at Armory.

We recently posted some illustration work by Josh Cochran. His illustrative work has fit into a variety of applications, and here we have a mural he was commissioned to do in Copenhagen. Cochran re-imagined many of the residents of the neighborhood into his won stylized characters for this piece.

We often see Barcelona-based artist, Grito use rollers for painting his large-scale outdoor works, but the artist contributed a smaller piece to the Galore Festival in Copenhagen.
